Vacuum tanker
Direct suction from tank, line vessel or drum store, with no spillage during transfer.
Grading on intake
Water and contamination are measured from a sample; the grade sets both the route and the price paid.
Drum swap
For small volumes we take the full drum and leave a labelled empty one in its place.
Waste mineral oil is graded by contamination level, and the grade decides the recovery route. A clean hydraulic oil can be refined back into base oil; oil mixed with water, antifreeze or solvent can only go to energy recovery. That is why pouring different oils into one drum instantly destroys the material’s value.
How collection works
Collection is done by vacuum tanker or in drums. Equipment is matched to how you store it — underground tank, line-side catch vessel or drum store. For small volumes we leave 200-litre drums and swap full for empty.
Keeping streams apart
- Engine oil, hydraulic oil and cutting fluid should stay in separate containers
- Antifreeze, brake fluid and solvent must never be poured into the oil drum
- Lids closed, drums covered and standing on a sealed floor
- Every drum labelled with its content
Documentation
Transport runs on the official form; on delivery you receive the quantity record and the recovery entry. Oil in a suitable grade is paid per tonne.
