Different plastics separate in the flotation tank, so mixed material can be processed too.
Toll granulation
We process your own scrap and return it as granulate; the loss rate is stated in the contract.
The difference between shredded flake and granulate decides which production line the material can enter. Flake is cheaper and not every machine can run it; granulate can be fed directly to an injection or extrusion machine.
Line stages
Shredding. Material is reduced to the target particle size in a knife mill. Large pieces pass through a pre-shredder first.
Washing. Hot or cold washing removes labels, adhesive, soil and oil. Materials that differ in density (PP caps against PET body, for instance) separate in the flotation tank.
Drying. Mechanical and thermal drying brings moisture down. Moisture means bubbles and lost strength during extrusion.
Extrusion and pelletising. The melt is filtered, drawn into strands and cut into granulate.
Control. Melt flow index and moisture are measured; the batch is recorded.
Toll processing
Your own material can be processed and returned to you. In that case input and output are recorded by weight and the loss rate is agreed in writing beforehand.
